Birthdays
Start by thinking about the recipient and their personal style.
While we typically suggest a bright, cheerful color palette for celebratory moments like birthdays, the arrangement should reflect the recipient’s personal taste. Do they tend to prefer neutrals, love modern design, or have a passion for gardening? We can make an arrangement that reflects their taste! Using seasonal and local flowers in birthday arrangements is a thoughtful nod to the season in which they celebrate another wonderful year.
Our standard arrangement is perfect for all occasions including birthdays, but if it’s a special milestone birthday, you may consider a premium or luxury arrangement for a grander gesture.
Anniversaries
Sending flowers is the ultimate, time-tested romantic gesture. At Willow and Star Flowers, we love and recommend arrangements that feel more thoughtful and personal that traditional dozen roses. There is always an exception to the rule. If roses carry significance to you and your sweetheart, we encourage the thoughtfulness behind sending a rose arrangement.
If you’re celebrating a wedding anniversary, bonus points for sending an arrangement that includes some of the flowers or colors included in your wedding flowers!
Sympathy
Thoughtfully designed sympathy flowers express compassion, care, and support when words are difficult to find. Soft color palettes often provide comfort while honoring loved ones. A bright, cheerful palette can uplift the spirits of those who are grieving. Consider the message you want to send. If you want to convay that you’re mourning the loss of a loved one, we recommend soft and neutral tones. If you are celebrating a life well-lived, consider bright tones.

A flower subscription is perfect for flower lovers and those special people who are hard to shop for. We love a gift that continually reminds the recipient how much you care. Available in 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month options, a flower subscription is a great reminder that your care goes beyond the holiday.
